The VALORANT closed beta has garnered millions of fans, viewership, and the desire of many to join in the fun. Riot Games have made the last a bit more possible by giving all VALORANT streams on Twitch the ability to drop closed beta access.
Before now, only select streamers could drop closed beta access through their streams. So the new decision gives smaller streamers the chance to grow their followership while fans of the game get to stick with their favorite streams to earn access (provided the streamer already has access to VALORANT). Any player can provide VALORANT beta drops by simply enabling in-game drops under their Twitch account options.
The change goes live today and is just one of the many Riot is making to ensure that the closed beta is a huge success. However, this development does not increase the number of available beta spots, just the chances of earning one.
To reward the most engaged fans in VALORANT streams, Riot manually picked a few thousand of them to gift beta access. The developer also announced that it would be increasing VALORANT’s server capacity yet again, after doing so on April 10 by 25%.
There’s a lot to look forward to whether you’re a VALORANT fan that’s already in the closed beta or not. Keep enjoying the streams, and that drop will come.
