Things have been quiet on the Dragon Ball FighterZ side of things, while other games like Granblue Fantasy Versus, Samurai Shodown, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have had new content released, online tournaments, or both.

To prepare for the launch of Ultra Instinct Goku, Japanese fighting game pros, Takashi "Acqua" Akiyami, Maddo, and Toru "Tachikawa" Tachikawa set about creating their fusion tier list for Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3. The last update brought with it considerable changes to the roster that has also moved character viability around.

The Japanese pros placed Base Vegeta at the top of their tier list, as the Saiyan Prince makes the most of the game's new mechanics in conjunction with the changes he received. Bardock and Yamcha followed in S-tier alongside others like Trunks, Hit, Kid Buu, and GT Goku.

None

A-tier had the highest concentration of characters, with Adult Gohan leading the charge ahead of Base Goku, Android 21, and Super Broly. Kefla, the latest addition to the roster, also falls into A-tier, but that's behind a handful of others, including Majin Boo. Other fusions don't fare too well on the list though, as Gotenks sit second in B-tier after Beerus and Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta heads up C-tier. The only other characters in C are Tien and Nappa, while Dragon Ball Super antagonist Jiren is considered the worst character in the game, alone in D-tier.

Acqua is a great fighting game pro that couldn't quite make it to the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals. However, Maddo and Tachikawa secured 5th-6th and 4th place finishes respectively in the prestigious tournament.

Check out the video below to see which characters gave them the hardest time to place.
