It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a proper story-driven experience in the Star Wars universe, and many of us feared that the cancelled Visceral Games project was about to put an end to all our dreams. Luckily, the Respawn studio came to the rescue with its recently revealed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
The game is an action-adventure, which is completely free of any traces of microtransactions or multiplayer. We’ve only seen a CGI trailer so far, and the details regarding the title are superficial and scarce. This situation is about to change right now though, as EA’s Community Engagement Specialist Jay Ingram has been pretty vocal and talkative on Twitter responding to the questions regarding the game. Thanks to his dedication, we’ve learned a lot. First of all, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be a complete, self-sufficient experience with no planned DLCs. This might turn out to be a downside given the game proves to be worthy, but let’s be honest – a good singleplayer game doesn’t necessarily have to be abused with DLCs, expansions, and add-ons. Another intriguing detail is that we might see some well-known characters, but the game is focused on new and original ones.
You’ll probably be able to earn new costumes and cosmetics throughout the game. To progress further and gain access to new locations, you’ll have to learn new abilities. And now the most exciting part – EA is not involved in the making of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, as it was Respawn’s initial idea and intention.
