A team got eliminated from Apex Legends tournament due to bug

The outcome of one of the matches of the Code Red Apex Legends tournament was decided due to a rather rare bug. Team Liquid's Tanner "Rogue" Trebb went for a knockout, but after a few seconds, he accidentally activated an error, allowing him to continue firing even from this position. As a result, the enemy team of Michael "Imaqtpie" Santana, Danny "Shiphtur" Le, and Marcus "Dyrus" Hill were neutralized.

This round was decisive for the qualifiers. Unfortunately for the Imaqtpie's team, even the fact of using the bug became known to the public, it did not have any consequences, and the opponents' squad moved to the next step of the competition.

The current situation makes one wonder whether further Apex Legends competitions will include any amendments to the rules regarding intentional and accidental use of bugs (there is no reason to doubt the unintentional actions of Rogue). We hope that this incident will get enough publicity and will force the organizers of future events to take into account this scenario.
