Forge of Masters. WePlay! League is a $50,000 CS:GO invitational tournament for CIS teams. The purpose of this tournament is to help the vastly talented players by providing bootstraps to pull themselves up with.
Here are the top 5 reasons why you should watch Forge of Masters. WePlay! League online group stage and LAN-finals.
You’ll be surprised at the performance and individual skill
If you pluck out the few top-godlike-tier teams from CIS region, you’ll stumble upon extensive deposits of extremely talented squads that once dominated every online ladder or cup imaginable. That deposit never disappeared, it just got neglected and somewhat forgotten due to the lack of financing and infrastructure in the region required to turn a promising talent into a legend.
That’s what WePlay! League is all about – provide the tools for good players to compete on par with the world stars.
50,000 is helluvalot of money for this type of event in CIS
There are not so many big tournaments in CIS. That’s why the local teams rarely get access to this kind of prize pools and the amount of media exposure. Our goal is to make Counter-Strike in CIS grow, and the prize pool is appropriate to the task.
Every match has a price-tag
Each victory in WePlay! League group stage guarantees a team $500, meaning that the initial $14,000 piece of the $50,000 prize pool will be dispersed through the individual team battles. This way we make sure that teams aim to win every game, not just get the score good enough to break to the LAN-finals.
Since the group stage is played online, players will be competing comfortably from their homes and team houses, ensuring their peak performance.
Update your bag of tricks
CIS playstyle is unique, yet not gimmicky — it's based on solid ideas. Watching the games may be surprisingly rewarding for new and experienced players alike, as you might pick up tricks and techniques usually underrated and disregarded.
Just watching WePlay! League won’t propel you to a new rank, but some episodes will certainly be educational.
The matches are time-friendly to CS fans from many countries
If you live somewhere between the US East Coast and South East Asia (in the time zones’ sense), you most likely will be able to watch the WePlay! League matches live.
The first game of the tournament starts on April 8 at 16:15 CEST. The last match is scheduled for 20:00 CEST.
