Valve Corporation revealed the details of the ticket program for the final part of The International 2019, which will be held from August 20 to 25 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai.
Tickets will go on sale May 24 and will be sold in sets for two days. Tuesday plus Wednesday and Thursday plus Friday tickets will cost 499 Chinese yuan (about 72 dollars). Cherished papers for the final two days will cost you 2099 yuan ($304). For Chinese residents, tickets will go on sale at 4:00 UTC, 6:00 CEST, all others will be able to purchase a ticket at this link starting 14:00 UTC, 16:00 CEST. At one time you can buy no more than five tickets.
Compared to last year, the cost has increased significantly. Perhaps this is due to high demand (not everyone will be able to get into the Mercedes-Benz Arena, 18,000 spectators only). Some explain this increase with the "foreign" nature of the tournament. What we can say with confidence: if you haven’t been a Dota Plus subscriber or have not bought a Battle Pass, your chances of buying a ticket will tend to zero.
Owners of combat passes and/or subscriptions will receive a whole hour of early ticket sales. These people will get a special code in Dota 2 client that allows buying tickets a little ahead of others. Considering how quickly they went away last year, it is doubtful that mere viewers will have at least something.
However, many of those who wanted to plan a trip to Shanghai may remain out. Analyst Noxville told about the problem:
Be that as it may, this Friday it will be extremely hot in the virtual box office. Prepare your wallets and bank accounts!
