2019 WCS Summer official broadcast had a splashy start yesterday with souL playing a 40-minute action packed TvZ vs Bly. You can check out the game here.

Here is one of the most innovative builds from the day:

Biggest upsets of day 1

TLO beats Neeb

One of the main reasons TLO did relatively poorly in WCS events throughout 2017 and 2018 was because he kept running into Neeb in the group stages.

Neeb came to 2019 WCS Summer in a good shape and is considered one of the favorites for the trophy. His loss to Dr Dario proves that no one is unbeatable.

Hellraiser beats uThermal

Hellraiser had a fantastic run at HomeStory Cup XIX a couple of weeks ago, but to be considered a top contender, you need to show consistently good results. His win against uThermal in the second group stage suggests that the Ukrainian Protoss could soon become one of the best StarCraft 2 players of the foreign scene.

Later that day Hellraiser took a map of off Serral on the mainstage, proving the point even further.

Today, Hellraiser will be fighting for the spot at Playoffs vs Kelazhur in the final round of Knockout Bracket.

Day 2 overview

Today, the WCS moves to the final round of Knockout Bracket and that straight into Playoffs. Here are some of the matches to look out for:

HellRaiser vs Kelazhur

Victory vs uThermal yesterday proves that HellRaiser is capable in PvT. It will be both sad to see Diego losing this early in a WCS event and nice to see HellRaiser advance to maybe face Serral again.

Nerchio vs Gerald

This won’t be the first time when Nerchio loses to a rising fellow countryman. The winner of the match goes on to face souL, another Polish star. Tune in to Emil’s stream if you want to follow this storyline.
