American esports organization 100 Thieves has announced the signing of Brendan "Falconer" Falconer and Brett "Grandma" Squires to its Fortnite roster. The organization announced it via Twitter.
Falconer was 100 Thieves player, Diego "Arkhram" Palma's duos partner. They began competing together at week 2 of the 2019 Fortnite World Cup North American West Qualifiers. Together they made it into the main event and finished fifth in the Fortnite World Cup, winning $900,000 in prize money.
Grandma is known for playing as Canadian rapper, Drake's duos partner. Drake also happens to be an investor in 100 Thieves, so whether the superstar had a hand in the new signing or not is anyone's guess. Grandma competed in the Fortnite World Cup North America East Qualifiers for Outcast Region and has seen a recent increase in online activity.
100 Thieves has been on a signing spree of recent. On October 31, it picked up Renegades’ former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, which debuted at IEM Beijing and made it to the Grand Finals. The organization also signed League of Legends coach Tony "Zikz" Gray, who helped Team Solomid achieve LCS victories in 2015 and 2016. 100 Thieves’ most recent signing is Twitch streamer BrookeAB from just a few weeks ago.
With 100 Thieves’ rapid acquisition of talented players and personalities, the question on everyone’s mind should be, who next?
